"Awaken" Print 2024
Over three years, this artwork has evolved through various iterations, drawing inspiration from the compositional paintings of Kandinsky. It serves as a visual symphony, symbolising the emergence of new identities existing simultaneously in spiritual and physical realms. Through layers of paint, liminal spaces are created, reflecting the transition between these worlds and our connection to divine love and life.
This painting celebrates the transformative journey in my deepening relationship with Christ. It embodies the forgiveness of past transgressions, the birth of fresh aspirations, and the rejuvenation of old dreams. He orchestrates renewal in His own time, His presence surrounds and safeguards me.
I feel the liminal spaces between the spiritual world and the physical world. This is representative of my awakening journey, the veil being lifted off my eyes and receiving the light codes from heaven to discover purpose.
